KENYA ON ROAD TO RECOVERY A number of things have happened recently to help rebuild the vital tourism industry in Kenya. The government received more than six million Euros from the European Union for tourism marketing. This was supplemented by another two million Euros provided by the government to the Kenya Tourist Board. Hon. Minister Balala, Minister for Tourism in Kenya will be travelling to Europe during May to look at how best to use the funds to get the word out that Kenya is very much open for business and able to provide great holidays at great prices. The Ambassador to Kenya from the USA also recently wrote an open letter to Americans telling them that they should feel comfortable in considering Kenya for their holidays.
